A Special Day At St. Martin De Porres Kids’ Home…

Lucky are those who have homes and family! There is a place in San Pablo City, Laguna where children who were abandoned, neglected, abused, orphaned and maltreated are being accommodated or sheltered temporarily, until such a time that their own families are able to take them back and nurture them safely.

St. Martin De Porres Kids’ Home is located at Brgy. Concepcion, San Pablo City. This foster home is frequently visited by the kind-hearted people who generously extend their blessings to these “street children”. My family and I have this chance to be involved in the lives of these young boys even for a day…

We were there on 09 February 2020! I have decided to spend my birthday with the foster kids instead of throwing a big party. It was a simple celebration. We hosted a short program where the children can participate, play games and have lunch together. We left them gifts which can sustain their daily needs. The occasion is worth every effort to put a smile on those less fortunate youngsters.

Here are some of our pictures taken during our charity day…

This foster home was founded in 1997 by the Rev. Fr. Gregorio Raymundo, and was established and organized as a non-stock, non-profit charitable institution. It is a transitional home for male street children ages 5 – 17 years old only. Hope one day you may be able to visit the place and share your blessings with the foster children of San Pablo City!
